Christians are given mandate by Jesus himself to serve fellow human beings. It is that commandment gave us inspiration to do whatever we can. One may argue that we have ocean of systematic organizations doing this work and why another one? It is as simple as this. First, to reach out all the people in need are never easy and even a whole lot of new organization also will not fill the gap. And to have resources for the people around where may be no one is reaching we have made this attempt to stretch hand with help.
Secondly, We do not have scarcity of needy people in the whole world. People who need help to feed their children, for schooling, for reconstruct themselves after natural calamities and so on.
Gujarat, land of recent earthquake on January 26, 2001 is under tremendous stress. People wonder here and their without home of tomorrow. Life with purpose, meaning, significance, value and destiny is distant dream for almost everyone, and especially those who saw their beloved ones dying at under the debris of their own houses. Christians were found sleeping. Even Christian heart was found resting without reaching with help for those in pain and great misery.
Three believers of Lord Jesus Christ realized this. But what three can do? No finance available. No resources. No relief material but a heart to serve. They realized their meaning in their very existence. Serve the People.
On March 3, 2001 these three met together, prayed together and decided to help the people in need. That is how Christian Care Ministries came into being.
